Rockstar Amuse vs Forbidden OEM
I would like everyone's honest opinions and experiences if possible.
I am stuck at a crossroad. To buy a Rockstar amuse top or a forbidden oem top.
I have replaced my top several times and I see the Magen top on every s2000. I want something different.
Please share...
Steve.

So basically, after much thought I decided to purchase a top from RSG
Here are some reviews I've found

They both look relatively the same to me but I would go with the RSG Amuse. The only reason I don't like OEM tops is because I feel like you could take it off and put it on a Miata they look so much like them. The amuse replica at leasts spices up the car a bit more.
I had the same debate and went with the OEM Style from Forbidden. It came down to my feelings on copies. I don't feel bad getting the Forbidden OEM top since the OEM top is 1. no longer made, 2. not made out of FRP/CF and 3. going way up in price lately. The Rockstar top is a direct copy of the amuse top and it ultimately just felt wrong to me. Of course this is all my opinion and you should do what you want.
For what it's worth my top fits nicely and the quality was actually better than I expected it to be.

This one looks similar to Amuse

I'm not trying to start anything. I'm just here to post pics because both look good.

Powerhouse Amuse is dry carbon only. Rsg doesn't make dry carbon.
I am happy to know that the forbidden fits well. Can you post pictures? My main concern is the rear window, I have heard the window is really thin.

Rsg is something different.
Hence, why I wanted people to share their experiences with both products.

If people have $4-6k to blow on a top by all means go ahead. I'm 31 years old, My son was just born last month.. I have no problem buying a replica top for $2k when the original would have costed me $6,000 new and a used $4,000. I'm sorry this might offend some people out there but to be honest I find it hard to read on here and see how some snot nosed teenagers/adults criticize those on here that choose to go the replica route.
Not everyone lives in mommy and daddys basement without any bills, and not everyone out there is a doctor or dentist with endless amounts of loot to drop on real/authentic top. This is by no means directed at you personally but rather those "I don't rock fake shit" gods on the forums. I just ran into a topic like this a few weeks ago that became very disturbing by the end as everyone decided to have a d*ck swinging match and trash the guy car and the thread.

According to just about every review I've read RSG is the way to go based on fitment. With that Shin etsu grease peope claim to have no sound from the seals, no leaks and really nice side profile fitment. Which in a way looked to be pretty bad on some forbidden tops.
Plus I went to buy a forbidden on craigslist weeks back and it had stressed cracks all over it. Mind you, this was the infused FRP too which is supposed to be better than hand laid. It's all personal preference, I hope my top gets here soon so I can give you a review first hand.
Even though I did get the Mugen and not the Amuse. (had a last second change of heart)
