Roll Bar Installation that looks OEM?
I need a roll bar for some track duty. however I would like to keep the install as clean as possible. I want something that looks and functions like it was oem.
I would like to affect as little of the oem car as possible. what do you think?

cleanest bar is the Mugen roll bar, but it's expensive and you still lose your secret compartment (keeps your glovebox though). It replaces your stock roll hoops, so it doesn't take up extra space and it comes with plastic covers to replace the OEM plastics that you have to remove.
Other than that, Cusco/Safety 21 and Harddog. Cusco, you will only have to cut the rear plastic under the softtop and cuts into your seat space a bit. Harddog you will have to modify quite a few plastics to make it work.
harddog is the safest option, but also the most non OEM option due to all of the plastics that need to be cut/removed, so your call.

Mugen is just too expensive. plus I will like to retain the factory roll hoops. Out of anything I think the Cusco looks best. Can someone tell me exactly how many oem panels are permentaley modified? Also I am using all of my seat space now, so how much space do you loose?
The harddog is a very functional bar that does not look good to me. Unless you like the race car look.

cusco and safety 21 are the same bar and same company, just cusco is blue and chromoly and safety 21 is black and steel. For the Cusco/Safety21 bar you just need to cut 2 circles out of the rear plastic for the rear legs to go through (or if you don't want to modify any plastics, you could just remove that piece, but it helps with sound deadening). That 1 plastic is the only one that needs to be modified.
As for lost seat space, the front legs bolt down on the floorboard right behind the seats, so you will lose a few inches of seat travel. If you are tall and need your seat all the way back, then this might be a problem for you. A bucket seat could possible remedy this problem as buckets are much thinner than the OEM seat and would gain back more room to slide back with the bar in place.

But I also see what you are saying about safety and all.
