Well, my rotors are here, I'll be putting them on tonight.

Mr Ak,
I hope you're talking about rust on the swept portions....I sure hope the black coating holds up for longer than a week.

Let me know how these work out for you. I've been really wanting some drilled/slotted rotors but don't want something thats going to crack or whatever.

cons - cost more, less durable than solid rotors (not for the track)

I put mine on tonight, and discovered another "con". The rear brakes make a little bit of noise as the pad edge goes over the machined edges. The fronts were deal silent when I tested them before putting on the rears.

It got my attention enough that I re-set the pads and retracted the caliper piston again, just to make sure everything was lined up properly. I'm hoping that goes away as the pad/rotor break-in.

way cheaper and no useless holes or slots.
I have these (bought them from another vendor) and they work/look great. The finish quality seems better than generic rotors and the coating has not worn off. I have found plated rotors don't look good for very long.

mine are coated just like urs but not drilled just slotted, and yes every black part on the rotor rusted in about a week, only rained like once and washed the car once. i was quite disapointed

Well, new brakes are on the car. It took me about 2.5 hours to install new rotors and pads all around.

Drilled/slotted rotors definitely have a certain sound to them, but it's only noticeable with the top down and a curb or buliding to reflect the sound back at you. Braking is smooth though, and there's plenty of bite.

I bought D/S rotors from a local company called DRT. they are on ebay.
they powder coat the hat and the edges in there shop and also do the drilling and slotting. i haven't had them long enough to give a good review but so far they feel nice and tight considering i put in new pads too. i used AP1 OEM pads. yes you do hear the pads sweeping against the slots when you are next to a wall. who cares. my ebrake only takes 4 clicks till its tight.
