RSG Hardtop Installed
So, I decided not too long ago to go ahead and pick up a hardtop for my car. After several conversations with different vendors, a few months of waiting and much thought and procrastination, I finally decided on Rockstar Garage as the vendor of choice.
Why? Pretty simple for me. I like to deal with people that have great communication and customer service and don't make me feel like I'm just another wish list guy asking the same questions that they receive every day on the forum. Any message I sent had a reply within a few hours unless it was the middle of the night. Next was to decide whether I wanted Mugen style or Amuse style. Initially I was set on Amuse style, but the window lines threw me off just a little bit, so I ended up going with the Mugen style.
The shipping was a little slow, but Justin wanted the paint to cure completely before shipping so that was no big deal for me. The packaging was great! Lots of bubble wrap and foam to make sure there was no physical damage due to shipping.
I was super paranoid about the paint matching since my car is in Texas and RSG painted it in Cali. But, to my surprise, the paint matches great!
The paint did have a couple of small blemishes, but nothing I worried about. Just a small missed spot after the wet sand and polishing and a couple of real small wave/line spots about a half inch long where the part thats by the trunk is. Most people probably wouldn't notice those unless you were up close and looking for them, but I used to work at a body shop and pay close attention to every detail.
The fit of the top is great for a replica in my opinion. Honestly, I give it a 9.5/10. Only thing that would get a 10 from me is OEM
Just a friendly word of advice, Shin Etsu grease is a MUST! You will need to put it on all the seals and depending on how high/low your top sits, you will need to grease the side areas of the "U" shaped convertible trim molding.
Overall, for this being an aftermarket top, the quality and fit for the price I paid is great! The customer service and communication is top notch and absolutely necessary for anyone to get my business.
Heres a couple of pictures.

Underside is raw I believe. Looks like there was either some primer or flat black shot on most of it though. I wasnt concerned with the underside at all because I plan to have a headliner done (looks much better in my opinion). I dont have any pics of the interior, but I can probably get a couple in the next day or two if you want.
