Default S2000 High Beam Bulb Replacement

Hi everyone,

I recently got a 2008 Honda S2000 and even though the car is very cute and runs perfectly, I cant get past the yellow toned DTR lights/ high beams. I hate the way they look. So I did my research, the bulbs are H1. I looked around and i bought some 16111 Jahn More H1 bulbs that are whitish blue. Problem is... I dont know what else I need. This is what the bulbs look like, im pretty sure I need like a base for them to sit in? I plan on taking the car to a body shop to install them but I don't want to show up with the bulbs and them saying I need hella other parts.

You don't need anything else. The housing will have everything else already there. I would recommend not handling the bulbs a lot with your bare hands especially the glass part. Also don't think a body shop is needed but if you trust them to work on the car they will be capable of doing it. I would be more worried about them charging you a lot of money for what isn't a hard job.

This thread may help you.

If you have very small hands and can work by braille you can change the high beams. Vaseline on your wrists (keep it off the bulbs) will help getting in there. Don't know that brand. I think I used Philipps or Osram (?).

4200°K is toward the white end of the useful color range. 4300°K is "OEM white" on some color charts. Ricer White beams barely illuminate the road but blind other traffic.
