Default science of speed or ferrea valve work?

found out i have bent valves and cracked retainers from over reving and am now upgrading. ferrea is $50 more then the sos valve parts but ive herd of problems with the ferrea clearance with the rocker. and was also wondering if i would have to upgrade my cams with the ferrea or could i stick with stock. has anyone experienced these problems with the sos. or any other options out there for me
