Default Seat Fabric Protector?

Well, I just picked up a pair of Bride Gias in hyper red from E-Auto and recently installed them on my car. I was just wondering if anyone has used any type of fabric protector/waterproofer on their aftermarket seats. I would really hate to accidentally dirty up these things. Please share products/experience. Thanks in advance!!!

BTW I highly recommend going to Will at E-Auto. Great service and price

I've always used Scotch Guard in the RED can for my fabric seats ..... Also use the hopolstery cleaner on occasion and then reapply the scotch guard protectorant RED can stuff ..... When I sold my 10 year old conversion van a few year back the seats looked brand new ......

Hey Eldred! How have you been? Long time since we heard from you. Are you coming to the Beer & Breakfast on the 28th? First meet of 2009 for Upstate gang!

So, I just tried a little Scotch Gard on the bottom of one of the seat cushions and followed the instructions on the back of the bottle. I DO NOT RECOMMEND SPRAYING THE SEATS!!! The color rubs off when you vigorously wipe it with a white towel. I am not going to risk it. Also, FYI, the shoe/fabric protector from Champs does the same thing. I just want to give everyone a heads up! Use it at your own discretion.
