As I search for replacement seats for a car I have purchased but not delivered yet, I would like o ask whether it is possible to install a good passenger seat as a driver seat? Are the seatbelt buckle receptors drilled into the side of the seat? Thank you.

 

Seat base will swap. However there is an internal support on the outer bolster only. So doing so eliminates this function, so bolster flattens out even faster than original drivers seat base.

To swap the upper, I think you'd have to remove the leather cover from the seat and reinstall. Similar to what you'd do to install new seat covers.

 

00-05 are with each oother. 06-09 are with each other. If you want to put 00-05 in an 06-09 or vise verse you have to swap the seat pans which is a bit of a pain. 06-09 have a different floor which causes this.
