I've been Lurking around the forum since buying my AP1 last August. Having a 18 year old car it seemed most of the answers I needed were already out there. I was compelled to make my first post to share my experience with a little discussed seat, the Sparco QRT R. Being 5'10 245lbs with wearing a 38x30 pant most easy to fits seats were out. All the big seats seemed to have fitment issues. I found a Sparco Evo 2 US and committed to cutting it up to fit as i had seen talked about. Them something bugged me, why pay for a FIA seat if im gonna cut it up and void that rating. Im not doing wheel to wheel but it just wasn't the way I wanted to go (no disrespect to those who have).
After Dry fitting the Evo 2 I realized the only thing it really needed was 1/2" bolster width and 1" shoulder wing reduction. So i set out to find a seat with the same butt capacity. After looking at a bunch of seats I landed on the QRT R and despite is rating for "up to 36 inch waist" the measurements looked very much the same as the Evo 2 us with 22 inch (down from 24) shoulder width and narrower bolsters. So it arrived today and I sat down and it was perfect felt like the same seat. You lose the slightest amount of leg spread capability but thats it. Mounted on PCI adjustable rails its fit perfectly in the car with no modification. The center console opens and the door barely brushes the seat.
So long story short this is a great alternative seat for guys up to my size (taller is not a problem except for head clearance). IF you fit a Evo 2 Us, Corbeau Fx1, or are sqeezed into a pole position id check this seat out. Examples of my \"size" glamour shot Just barely touches door no need to cant the seat left to fit between the door and tunnel With helmet on i have a 1 finger gap If you remove the seat padding (which i will do for track days) i get 2.5 finger gap matbe a littl more No console blockage
It fits a size 38 waist and fits with no rubbing in the S2k.

As you can see they sit a little lower than the stock seats.
Some pictures of the clearance on the door panel, center console and middle compartment.
In general I wouldn't pick this as a permanent DD seat. Aside from the "buckets suck for daily driving" mantra you will find across this site (or even the web) there's two reasons.
1) For a long road trip i would want to add padding to the bottom. Its just fine (not "luxurious") for 45-60 minutes but the but will get a bit sore after that. Seat bottom padding could be self modded think, especially if you can sew and make a nice solution but even throwing a square of memory foam under the pad would help and not take up much space.
2) The main issue is that being a very track oriented seat, you can forget about taking your legs out of "driving position". By this i mean your legs would be comfortable at the ready over gas and clutch but, If you are like me on a long drive you're going to want to relax you leg outwards. This isn't really much of an option as the seat opening is very square. Most dual purpose seats will flare out for this. Sparco i think chose not to do this to save space.
That being said i chose this seat for track/weekender so i think this seat is perfect despite those two things. One thing to consider that i have run into is that if you are under 5'11 with 50/50 torso/legs, or have a short torso the harness holes may not work for you. IF you are slightly to tall for Recaro PP you MIGHT be to short for a QRT-R. I am very close to not working but I am fine with my Hans on and that's the only way i'm using the harness holes anyway.

I don't doubt the Corbeau is a good seat and its cool that it fits but i wouldn't be considering a reclinable seat for a track build, or dual purpose. I don't think many people looking at fixed back seats are going to consider it either. For street car i'm sure they'd be great. I think i would need to see the styling in person before i could pull the trigger though,
Good to know! Im not too dissimilar in dimensions and ran into this issue a year or so back. I actually fit somewhat comfortably in Pole Positions but the shoulder harness holes were far too low on my back to make sense with a harness, then I came across the Corbeau Forza Sport. Fits the car great, I fit comfortably(even on long trips, most trips to the track are 3+ hours long) FIA cert, but of course they discontinued them(and I only found the one, have been looking for a matching passenger seat but no luck). The QRT-R caught my eye at the track about a year ago, but I havent been ready to pull the trigger yet but has certainly been on my radar. Happy to hear they work well in the car and on a *particular* body type.

personally, the seat is too large for me, but it's an interesting combination. it's actually a fixed seat, but is low around the waist/hips for easy ingress/egress.
