Hello, I spent a few weekends attempting to install carbon doors, you will need to get some jewelers files to install grommets as mine were pretty undersized holes that needs to be larger, new grommets as they are difficult to get out and not worth your time to remove from the oldin my case stock) door, some filing was needed of the bottom lip and the bolt holes within the door to install the outside door handle backing plate. I did not finish the door install because of the angle the door hinge makes the door sit with the standard bolt holes within the door along with the door not fully closing (pictures below). I will likely try to install them again when November lets snow fall as where i live they salt the roads and I'm trying to prevent rust and i mainly use my s2k as my daily in the summer and fall.

I can't recommend Seibon parts, they are all poorly fitted and designed. Your car is now an insurance issue, since it doesn't have the same level of side impact protection.

This is my first experience with seibon and with how many headaches I have had trying to install these doors I came to that conclusion, how would it affect insurance, does adding the doors make it no longer road legal or is it just a liability if I were to get into an accident it would affect the outcome of that? I know on project seibons website it says they are for off-road purposes only but I'm uncertain as to how that affects insurance or legality of the car

I'm not sure on road legal laws and the doors. Yes, if you get in an accident, the insurance company will see that these are aftermarket doors and you will not be covered and or they will close your account. The insurance company wants to know every major modification you have done to the vehicle, for legal reasons. Seibon says all their parts are for off road use only, for legal reasons. The expensive ASM CFRP doors are not as strong/safe as OEM doors either.
