I chose the RX7 side splitters because I liked the shape of them, how they get wider at the rear. Also because they tend to stick out a little more than the ones made for our cars. It matches my wheel and tire setup better than straight ones. I got mine from eBay for $150 and they are just held in by a few sheet metal screws and washers. They are a tiny bit longer than the length of the car, but if you center them, you'll end up with about 1/2" of splitter overhanging into the wheel wells on each end which isn't a problem at all.

what are you guys doing to make sure it is secure? Just a couple of self-tapping screws and double sided tape is enough to hold this firmly to the body?

also, if drilling into the rocker panels, what are you guys doing to prevent rust?

thanks in advance
