Default simple but decent rotors

Centric Premium Rotor

Cryo-Stop Rotors

Any of you guys have any experience with either of these rotors? One is half the price of OEM and the other about 20% off. They both speak to improved rotor performance over OEM. True?

If tire rack isn't a good place to get rotors, any recommendations of places to buy from?

What are your goals? I've always just been a fan of Brembo blank rotors and ran those with my NSX calipers on my Accord.

Worked just fine for AutoX and DD'ing

Good replacement for less than OEM price.

Tire rack doesn't seem to over brembo replacement rotors for an 04 S2000. Where would I buy them from? And what should I expect them to run?

A lot of the track guys on this site use Centric rotors, and speak highly of them. Get the E-coated ones to reduce rust on the unswept portions.

That's good to know. They're so cheap I was concerned to even consider them.

yeah...but they replace them regularly because they are treated as a disposable item. every few track days a new set of the cheap centrics go on usually.

they work well for what they're used for...but if i was getting a set to stay on the car for 50,000 miles or whatever, i would probably get a higher quality set, if not oem.

that said however, i don't know how well the centrics will hold up for years of us. my experience is only with cycling them out every few track days. who knows...maybe they are just as good or better than oem. i just have no data to support that, and can't, in good faith, suggest them.

Haha, I posted that and I haven't looked for them! I can't find them either - I usually buy stuff at a local shop for $40/each for my old car.

Forgive the ignorance.

What should I expect the different to be between standard blank rotors?

I bought the Centric Premium Rotors from tirerack. One of their sales persons informed me they were on par with the OEM rotors. Which is enough for me.

If I track the car it'll be with different pads/rotors anyway. So I'll leave that for another purchase.

I'll let you know what I think.
