Default Single vs Double Exhaust

Ive heard that single exhausts are better than doubble.
The only reason I can see is that there is some weight saving, but is there any horsepower difference between the two exhausts?

Also, which brand would you recomend?

Thanks for any help guys.

Oh, and singles perform better because of the added back pressure.

take some physic class and post back.

there's no need for a dual for an inline motor, 1000 whp supra is running one exhaust.

Thanks, I was planning on going single anyways because as that one guy said "theres no need for duals on an inline motor" and I have seen some really good looking singles so the lloks are equal to me.

Do you mean less back pressure? Singles don't give more back pressure unless your going with like a 1.5" single exhaust. For a 4 cylinder engine there is no reason other than looks and sound to have a dual. For v8's and v6's that have two headers it makes sense as they are separate. We have one header which is then split to a dual exhaust. Single will make more power and save more weight over any same material dual.

I have been wondering this same thing for a while. I was considering the Skunk2 Dual exhaust, or the Greddy Ti-C 70mm single. So, I would like to hear more on this subject!

Not a whole lot more to hear really. If you are going for performance a single will win hands down. For sound and or looks I prefer a dual exhaust. The choice is up to you. Not much more to the subject than that.
