Size and types of rivets used for soft top
Yes, I am undertaking something, that I very much do belive, I'm going to regret approximately 45 seconds into doing.... and that is replacing the soft top on the 2000.
But before I do, I want to get all my ducks lined up in a row before I even start the process because I want to do it right the first time. So does anyone know the type of rivet gun and rivets used/needed for the job, or does it even matter? I've never riveted anything in my life before so any advice will be some help. I also realize that some glue is needed for the front of the soft top... I imagine Elmer's isnt optimal, lmao, so is there special soft top glue I should use?
I've already ordered a new replacement top and the Modifry straps aswell. Any tips and pointers in general to the whole process would be helpful aswell. Thank you!

Frankly I think you have too many questions and too little experience with tools to successfully replace the roof. To do the job properly requires major disassembly of the car's interior including the seats and many of the panels behind the seats where the roof sits. Lots of roof leak stories after botched DIY roof replacements although there are many successful jobs as well by skilled guys.
New Robbins roof will have all the required straps so put the Modifry straps in your stash for 2025. Not sure if it came with the rivets since I wasn't going to risk a DIY.
BTW, my roof came with no installation instructions at all. The installer had a table top full of special tools, drills, glue, and who knows?
