Seems unlikely that any noticeable gain would be made.

would the skunk2 TB be a viable replacement for a bad OEM one. I see the skunk2 ones all over for less than $150 and the OEM one is like $450.

I think with a blower you'd yield something, but not much otherwise.

I'm not looking to replace it for more power. The section that the coolant runs through on my TB has a small hole (howtf did that happen???) in it which is causing coolant to leak onto my alternator. I'm currently bypassing the coolant line past the TB.

My main question is would this be a good alternative to buying a new OEM one. I am shocked by the price difference.

Well, I have put a new BBK throttle body on my SRT-10 truck. It made a huge difference in the lower end. I don't have anyhthing but a BUTT-DYNO. But just installing a larger diameter TB made it feel more lighter in the throttle pedal...

from my understanding in other threads, members have felt better throttle response but none have actually dyno'd before and after

if you have FULL bot ons you can get some gains but its not much anyways. but i say if you need to replace your current tb then it would only be reasonable to get the sunk 2. gain like 2hp and save money
