Default Soft Top Security

Was looking into soft top security ideas, and wanted to see what others thought. Is there a way to put a few slabs of thick plastic between the soft top and the bars from the interior, so a knife cant penetrate? i mean its a cheap way to do it, and just put it in the trunk when you want to go topless..

You mean buying a hardtop....

The safest way to protect your soft top if your that worried is to leave it unlocked. Id rather someone get in the car and realize I have nothing of value than spend a grand on a top. Or get better insurance that would cover vandalism.

its more of a temporary measure. A hardtops in the future when my pockets weigh enough. as for the unlocked..what if they knife your seats out of sheer spite lol?

The thief won't know until they slice up the softop, by that point the damage is done and they can just pull out the plastic anyhow. Even if they don't enter the vehicle a torn up softop is still an expensive fix.

Consider a hardtop, it's still not foolproof but it is better.

There is nothing we could do. If a theif wanted to get in he/she will. Regardless of a hard top.

Best thing you could do to keep thieves out of your car is leave NOTHING in plain sight. Open your compartment showing that it's empty as well.. Hide phone/audio cords as well.

The Bronx is a tough area for our car. Every major escape route, I mean HWY runs thru the BX. The city never sleeps try to find a garage.
