Just put a few washers under the cover until it fits.

I was able to get my ap1 oem plug cover to fit. The issue with the oem cover is that it has a thick metal spine on the underside, flip it over and you will see what I mean. The center spine rides on top of the okada discs and this causes the cover to sit high. The discs are functional so you can't remove them (I once thought about doing that but Okada recommended against it).

I ground down the spine on the underside of the oem cover ( it is soft aluminum) with a dremmel tool in four locations. I used some grease on the top of the coils to show the contact points, it was pretty easy to do and it went quicker then I thought just using a dremmel grinding bit.

Before I ground down the spine I was using a 2mm washer on each of the four mounting points and I thought that worked fine. So there are two ways to get the oem cover to fit, both work well IMO.

You can see a pic of my cover using 2mm washers in pics below (disregard the blue arrow), this was before I ground down the spine on the back of the cover.

question- What supporting mods do you have with your OKADA's? Were they required for a hotter spark or did you just choose them instead of new OEMS?

I am just running naturally aspirated with light mods, close to stock for the most part - header, J's throttle body, intake snorkel, uk exhaust mod.

I was having fuel dilution issues in my used oil analysis samples, and it seemed like I was running rich with lots of carbon deposits on my rear bumper. Most of the reviews I read on the coils were good so I bought these. Once I put them in I didn't have any further fuel dilution issues and no more carbon deposits on the rear bumper. The car seems to be running better with them, I think I am getting a better burn of the combustion mixture and no more fuel dilution issues. I'm running stock spark plug gaps, but I'm going to try and open up the gaps a small bit and see if that helps with performance a bit more as you can run a larger gap with these coils.
I got these used from a forum member at a good price, they are really pricey new though.

Aftermarket spark plug covers might fit because they don't have the spline like JFUSION mentioned. My Comptech cover is blank underneath so I'm sure it would fit.

While on the topic of Okada coils I bumped up the spark plug gap to .050" today , since they are capable of running larger gaps, so far so good, it feels nice and smooth.
