Default Spoon Front Bumper...

I am wondering how spoon is on fitment and how much prep work will be needed if bought from them. Anyone have any experiences with this exact part from spoon. I would die if I got one that did not fit well.

I really surprised no one has responded to this yet.

I can't speak from experience since I have not owned one personally, but I can tell you that it is HIGHLY unlikely that you will have a fitment issue with anything made by a company as reputable as Spoon. You shouldn't have to question the quality of any of the reputable JDM companies (spoon, mugen, amuse, ASM, etc.) They spend so much money on R&D to get things right the first time. That is one of the reasons why you pay so much for their products. You get what you pay for, and what you pay for is QUALITY.

Buy with confidence.

proud owner ALTHOUGH!

I tell ya, Ive fitted many high end bumpers over 10 years and this one wasnt the best fitment but not at all was it bad. I had to drill out the holes thath match to the upper fender a tad larger in order for it to sit flush against the fender. I then slightly adjusted the fenders themselfs for a perfect fitment. Every bottom bolt/hole was bang on for the oem plastic piece follwed by pertfect fitment for ther c/f undertray.

First time took me a solid 2 hours to get it on and looking good, not its a 20 min job on and off.

Oh and i remember, the oem bumper has 2 small 10mm bolt's that 1 goes to the fender and other to the bumper, these are located when you pop your hood and on the far left and right, youll know when you get there. I could only get one per side to line up but no issues. The little metal bracket was not lng enough to get the other bolt to work.

rating overall on bumper A
fitment B+/A-

Would I do it again, ofoucrse but I moight go mugen SS so I can see it smile

Even though you get what you pay for. What you pay for is quality.... but that is not true at all. From many threads that I have read about people buying real JDM bumpers they still have fitment issues.

I disagree. I have an authentic Mugen HT & Spoon hood. Both of which had fitment issues. Just b/c you paid a high price for a product doesn't necessarily mean its going to fit 99% of the time.

Buyer beware.

Then I retract my previous statement. From my experience with products of lesser quality, you get what you pay for (not much). All I have ever heard (and seen) is that quality JDM pieces fit great. This is the first time I've ever heard otherwise.

Yeah... I understand about "You get what you pay for" but that is to certain extent. I bought a replica E-auto bumper and it only needed minor adjustments and the fitment to me looks 99%. I read a couple of threads before hand when I bought the replica bumper and authentic ones. There were a few s2ki members complained about fitment issue even with the authentic ones.
