Default Spoon Hardtop Fitment Issue

So I installed my spoon style hardtop last weekend and I noticed the rear section doesn't sit flush. I did put some weather stripping between the two peices. Any other spoon hardtop owners have a fix for this? Is the weather stripping to thick? is it something else?

no its a replica, but the wierd thing is when I did a test fit by just laying it on the car it fit perfectly. once i bolted it down and weather strippped it is when it didnt line up. so its like i know it can be flush.

maybe you should have it sitting flush unbolted, then bolt it in..

It is probably the weather stripping. Check around the sides too because if it's misaligned there is could cause it to be off on top.

the thinnest weather stripping i could find was like 1/2 in thick. Is there something thinner?
