i need a new rear view mirror. the backside of my mirror glass is separating and has made a shadow around the edges. does anyone have the spoon mirror insert? does this stick out when installed and look like a taped on piece? i wouldnt want one if looks rigged.

I have one and I never notice that it sticks out. It is convex and has a small spacer in the center to keep the curve but to me it fits/looks OEM.

 

If you search there was another thread on these recently.
