Default spoon snorkel

has anyone here installed a snorkel on there car? spoon? j's? ebay replicas?

i cant get my spoon one to fit where i can close the hood, its very very very close to closing but not quite. and the spoon one is a non hood cut design, was hoping that someone could provide some feedback. for reference, i have tried to move the latch up as high as it would go, or moved the bump stops down as low as those would go as well.

thanks.

u just have to be gentle and push hard on the hood to shut. yes there will be a small gap but it shuts. the bump stops wont do much and also dont drop the hood!!!

When I had my authentic spoon intake in my07, I could drop the hood and had no problems.

you may need to adjust the hood latch as others have had to with the Password intake.

It should close fine, but depending on other mods (i.e. cooling plate, hood dampers) you may have problems with it closing, in which case you may have to adjust the hood latch. Mine was a tight fit too -- even though it says it's made for stock hoods, while the hood will close, it will still rub on the intake too, that's how tight of a fit it is.

ebay snorkel fit fine, you just have to cut the radiator air plastic cover.

I think that your snorkel isn't positioned right.
