Default Springs vs coils

I used to have a ford focus, yes the s2k is def an amazing upgrade. I was looking into eibach springs, read around the forum a little, and I was also looking into some spoon springs. But the more I've read I see people saying go with coil overs. Can someone explain to me the difference as well as the positives and negatives? I'm pretty new to this whole community so any help would be great.

coils you can adjust the height and stiffness/softness. thats pretty much the main difference. if your just wanting to lower your car for appearance and your not going to do any tracking I'd just get springs. I had coils and bought springs now since I didn't need the full coilover setup.

Springs $250+
Coilovers $1000+

Spend your money on good tires.
Springs+Tires= $1000

Most of the springs for this car are designed for the early model years. You will significantly change the handling our car if it's a 2004 through 2008 with the Eibach springs and most others as well.

Ok I have an 01 i need to update my profile I just got on s2ki about a week ago, its amazing how much info is on here. Ok well I'm thinking about waiting till after winter and dropping with eibachs. I read something about the CV supports not being too good when the car is lowered. Any input?
