Haha, that's funny...but it's sorta true. It's a U, but it "wiggles" a little towards the bottom where it's attached. Pretty sure our descriptions don't help much.

They don't look good. They are skinny and just look out of place with the covers removed.

I don't see the covers being that difficult to replace, though, if you're curious. I've removed the covers, all it took was some superglue down the middle and some pressure, and they look perfect. Here's a shot without the covers for you, though:

thanks ITSNOE30 thats helps alot. exactly what i was looking for. thanks alot man... and ereyone else for the input. but they dont look to to bad. 2003S2K2003 i agree with they would look pretty sweet if they were thicker. however i think im just going to unbolt the hole thing and take the bars to my local metal shop and have them bend up some thicker pipping... then slap the new ones in... hey i got it... ill do that then get a sticker made that says "KEEP HATIN MIATA'S"" hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha J/K J/K that would be great.... lol but yea ill do that soon and ill post some pics up and see how you guys like it.. thanks again

Make sure whatever they make will be just as strong as the oem ones.
Those are very important in case of a roll over that all that protects your head from being the roll bar haha.
