I have a set on my car. All else being the same, I would suggest just retaining the OEM brake hoses.

In particular, I would, under no circumstances, put used aftermarket brake hoses on the car. I assume by looking at the ad that these are not used, but I didn't see where it said that explicitly.

No one said that. The OEM hoses are not the same compliant rubber that used to be used back in the 60s, though. I've used these Stoptech hoses on my own car, and IMO there was absolutely no benefit to switching to them. There are, however, a number of risks. And it costs money you don't need to spend.

But it's your money, your risks, and your decision.

ahh. any ideas how much a set of oem brake lines for front and rear would cost? my cars done 140 000kms and am looking at replacing most wearable rubber items (hoses etc).

guess the s2000 brake feel is already pretty good, reason i asked to change was because when i had braided lines on my wrx it made a huge difference in brake feel.

Probably best to just check with your local suppliers. Prices for me are not likely to be the same.

I don't know that I would bother changing at all, unless I had some evidence that it was necessary. But if you want to, I would seriously consider just going with another set of the OEMs. There isn't really any performance benefit, and the OEMs are going to be a lot more reliable and likely safer than any aftermarket solution. Lots more testing, and they are engineered to be maintenance-free for the life of the car with owners who never inspect anything. The SS hoses require a lot more inspection and are not as rugged.

140000km is nothing lol. I think you are just paranoid. I think you have a lot more on them before they will go out... If you are insecure just inspect them or have a mechanic look at them!
