Default Straight pipe...

I am looking at exhausts and I am a student and have about 400 to spend. So its either one of those ones you see on Ebay.(dual exhausts is what im looking for as it looks funny with an open hole with only one exhaust if i had one) Or a straight pipe.( can i bend and/or weld into two? My Rx8 had custom ones when i had it and it sounded so mean.(duals and no converted or O2 sensor) How big In diameter should it be? I know i am keeping the car so i dont mind the check engine being on. I understand that an N/A car needs some back pressure so i was thinking maybe 2.5' all the way? Too big might make it even sound raspy too.(witch i hate) i have seen ones on youtube but are very small. maybe 2' if...Any tips? help please? =] Sugestions will be very helpful. Thanks guys

Vick

Man you have rambling speech. I don't know what you want.

Umm any "straight pipe" mods like a test pipe will give you rasp.

Save up another 150 and get a prefabbed cat back. You can pick up Invidia Systems for under 600 if you look around and trust me they are loud! Save up a 100 more and you can get a test pipe to go with it. It will look a lot cleaner...

But if you still plan on going custom route, 70mm max pipe size for NA, previous gen catbacks were 60mm though...

I love my ebay single exhaust. It sounds so sick and the Fitment was okay, I used some wire to get it to sit perfect. Only paid $110 shipped and my car made 223 WHP with intake, testpipe and this exhaust.

^ Must have got lucky with the fitment! I had an ebay dual a while back and it fit like $hit. One of the canisters were crooked and the hangers werent even close to fitting right. I did get better gas mileage with it. But it wasnt worth the headache on the highway for how loud it was. Its a 60mm and im probably going to cut it up and make a custom exhaust from it with the resonator and end pipe of a stock exhaust and have the hangers re-welded.

Test pipe (Invidia) + Cherrybomb + straight single pipe coming out back. Slant cut.

Best setup I ever had. Both sound and performance were amazing. Surprisingly, I only got ONE exhaust ticket and I live in Long Beach, were cops are on every corner.

The thing that most impressed me besides sound tone (Note Im saying tone, not loudness since any exhaust can be loud but not all have a great tone) was the free revving was way faster and responsive.

Cherrybomb - $20 (Got at Autozone)
Test pipe - $120
Exhaust shop piping and install - $40

EDITL: Fixed a typo and added sht.

YES.
I have to grab my DV camcorder and export it. I'll try to do it soon.
