Default Strange failure of Ingalls ETD

My Ingalls ETD started to rattle. The play started between the brass and the outer eye of the damper. Is there an easy way to reattach these two pieces?

Once I pulled it, the play was much greater than shown in the video, but not enough for the whole piece to come off to see if a ring or something else holding them pressed together is missing. I'm considering getting a larger washer and 2 larger orings on each side to keep pressure on the 2 loose pieces, but I'd prefer a proper fix if possible.

Ingalls was bought up by Doorman and they discontinued this damper. Anyone know if another ETD will fit the Ingalls bracket?

I don't know if another brand will fit but what I can tell you is the Ingalls in the video is installed backwards. The ends should be flipped 180 degrees.

Yeah, I noticed that. I installed it correctly, then took it off to put on fresh orings and swapped ends.

That rod end needs to be replaced, unscrew it completely and measure the length/width and check the thread size.
Shouldn't be to hard to get a new replacement, here is a link that might help https://www.summitracing.com/int/sea...s?N=4294947219
