Stripping Painted Honda Emblems.....

Thumbs up Stripping Painted Honda Emblems.....

So I got my emblems painted flat black today but on the last coat of paint a bug decided to walk across them while they were drying.....what is the best way to strip and start over?

paint thinner then wash in hot water dry and paint watch for bugs

cool, so paint thinner won't deform the badge, good to know that will me my Sunday AM project the clear marker lights with the "S2000" badges looks freakinf clean, I'm glad I went this route

so...damn I soaked them in paint thinner.....nothing, I scrubbed them with paint thinner....nothing, so I tried carb cleaner....nothing I had to sand them down as this stuff dries like conscrete....damn looks good though I'll post pics when they are on the car!

ya if the paint is ever on so good nothing takes it off thats no problem just sand with very fine grit sand paper and the micro scratches will provide a texture that the new coat of paint can adhere and grab onto post some pix man im thinking of painting mine as well
