most of the ones I have seen are either shiny metal color or black carbon fiber weave color. You could take a rattle can to it though and paint one of your choice. Just be sure to rough up the surface first with some sandpaper. I know it doesnt answer your question perfectly, but it is an option if all else fails. Plus it is pretty easy to do.
i agree...you could always paint a strutbar as most are polished aluminum...in all honesty though, don't go for the color matched everything....it's squidish...a nice sporty aluminum strutbar'll look great...my recommendations are Cusco (either the regular polished with blue mounts or the carnon one with titanium colored mounts or go really fancy and get their full titanium one which has some nice welds that do change color)...hope this helps
ps. painting may not be such a great idea....the pait may come off since it may touch the hood at time (or hood liner)...my guess is it'll eventually scuff off....if anything have the bar powdercoated...probably'll run you less than a $100
Good point there, I didnt think of powdercoating. That would probally be a better choice. I have been working on my offroad rig for too long Looks dont matter so much on that. Also I a gree about color matching it, it will look lame if you ask me.
They say anything with hinge points (like the ends of a strut brace) still suffer flex. As long as I can remember, race cars have had braces ('stangs in the 60s, etc.). I didn't notice much when I installed mine, but the Neuspeed lower front X-brace was noticable.
