Default suggestion for handling mod?

hey guys,
I am trying to modify my s by the handling rather than power.
I had a VR4 before this car and I went all out to get the car fast by doing power mods, which I ended up putting 620~ whp. its not the fastest but pretty satisfied with the numbers, then I sold the car.
Now that I have done one way, I want to try the other way by improving my handling and I need some help to do this right.

So far, I have aftermarket rims and tires, nrg x shaped strut bar only.
Im thinking in my head of all these parts to install, such as x-brace, rear strut, coilovers, but I was wondering if there is some kind of a step to doing handling mods.
Im not thinking of getting coilovers at the moment,, Im gonna try to wait until I can get other stuff done. So can you guys lead me to a proper handling mod? Also I would appreciate if you would suggest parts for me to install.

Thanks in advance,

well, you don't know what you need and we can't help you with that over the internet.

some people just throw part and money at the car and pray that everything would work, remember what's good handling is a relative thing.

you can drive a wonderfully modified race car and be slower than stock s2k, it's all about what you comfortable with and your skill level.

before you even jump into getting coilover and this and that brace, know what you need first. Most people drive a stock suspension s2k faster than on a coilover, increase springrate and roll resistant doesn't make a car faster, in fact most "newbie" driver at the track would more likely to spin out with a stiffer suspension.

before putting on a shopping list, know what you getting. you'll be surprise how many people running mega dollar coilver and suspension set up that never been to the track once.

what's wrong with the stock suspension? is it too soft? too much body roll? rear end sliding too much?

and what about tires? they are way more bang for the buck than coilover, hell, even a set of cheap sway bar are more cost effective.

all that's needed is good tires and a good alignment.

Spend money on a couple track days or autocross sessions.

Driver experience mods = best $$ spent

I've noticed that with a good alignment, the car does handle better. I slightly modified the UK spec alignment and ran a bit more neg camber. Works out great for me.

While tires and alignment are the best bang for your buck, along with seat time with an instructor...

Some people do like buying mods for their car whether they really work or just add a sense of confidence to the person driving... Get a set of coilovers, a front sway bar, x brace if you want it. Whatever you feel your car needs is fine.

Tires and driving school/autocrosses.

Is your car an AP1 or AP2? How do you want to use it? Street, Autocross, Track day?

Stock the S2000 is very good and hard to make much better and still be good for street use just throwing parts at it may mess up the handling.

For an AP2 for street use I would say clone a CR, maybe lower it a little but not to much.

thanks for your advice guys,
I have an ap1, and I am planning to start autoxing.
Ive got re-01 tires.
Now that I hear from you guys, let me start one at a time.
What are some ways to reduce bodyroll?
and.. I dont know much about alignment... what is the specific spec I should know and be telling to the tech? This is my dd so will i have to change the alignment after I come back from autox?
Is firestone able to do this track alignment?
Thanks in advance.
