If you live where there is hot weather I would start off with a replica snorkel intake. From all the mods I've done, on a /$ basis, this was the best mod. If you want to spend the full $1K, and you find the right pricing you can get the replica snorkel, a GOOD used single exhaust, and springs + install for right around $1K. So the breakdown would be something like this:
~$100 replica snorkel intake
~$500 used single exhaust in good shape
~$200 springs
~$200 for spring install
~^+ a little less than $100 for the wheel alignment

I have Gears and your gonna pay alot to get them installed, I wouldnt do it if you only have $1k to spend..

This is how i would spend $1k-

Invidia 70mm Test Pipe + CEL Fix $115.00
Invidia N1 Single Exhaust (70mm with Single Ti Tip)- Price:$515.00
Espelir Active Super Down Springs Price:$240.00 ( I like these springs, i think they have the best drop)

Total:- $870 without shipping(which varies to where you live)

All parts listed are from Evasivemotorsports, Goodluck..
Gonna agree with him pretty much exactly lol.
those mods and you will think your S2k is a race car.
You can also use Ground Controls springs if you want adjustable height. Im using them on my AP2 w/ Koni yellows and its NICE.
70mm FTW and if you don't mind it being loud you will love the invidia single N1.

alright so on hardtopguy i clicked on 4.77 gears, cyro treated, install parts and it came out to $765. i heard for a shop to install them it would be around $200-300? and if i have hardtopguy install them with cyro treated it would be $1050, and then have a shop install the diff. so what do you guys think i should do? i really want the gears.
