Default Suggestions for a Stiffer Clutch

Does anyone know of a clutch kit that makes the clutch slightly stiffer than stock? I recently just purchased a Cooper S and it comes with a pretty stiff clutch. I actually feel more comfortable driving a stiffer clutch.

I currently have the F1 racing clutch on my car because I'm turbo'd. It's just too soft and it grabs way too hard. I'm looking for something a little stiffer than stock though and doesn't bite so hard.

I've looked into the ACT PP / OEM Disc combo, which is said to feel exactly like stock. Is there anything stiffer that doesn't bite too hard?

Competition clutch is 2200lbs stock is 1800lbs

Use CC plate and OEM updated disk?

That's about a 30% bump in pressure but no bump in sudden grab

The clutch depends on the material and the pressure to grab upping one will result in more power being held but also a bit more wear and tear over time.

ACT pressure plate with oem disc should be a little stiffer, engage like stock since it is still the stock clutch and is rated for 380 ft lbs tq I believe. I have that combo and very happy with it.

I have an ACT 6 puck with the heavy duty pressure plate in my MR2 Turbo. After driving the S2000 regularly it feels like I have to break my leg to disengage the clutch on the MR2 (which I daily drove for nearly a decade). One of those should be stiff enough for you.

are you talking about ACT HD PP + OEM Disc has buzz? or the entire ACT clutch kit?

if you don't need to replace the clutch just yet... maybe try to get a stainless steel braided clutch line? it makes the pedal feel a tad bit firmer...
