Default Switch from N1 to Q300 or stay N1.

I currently own an Invidia n1 dual. Loved it even though it was a bit loud on the highway. Got a Berk TP and the rasp made me want to shoot someone. Well I got rear ended while my car was parked and they crunched up the N1. So now I'm faced with get another N1 dual or opt for the q300 dual. Im trying to eliminate rasp. I want a nice sound that doesn't resemble a civic driven by a high school bad boy......I am currently using the stock header and realistically will be for some time. So my question is will the q300 eliminate some rasp the N1 carries with the test pipe? And is the q300 super quiet like on my friends 2012 wrx? Because his q300 sounds no louder than his stock exhaust even at WOT. Also it's an AP1 if that matters. Thanks.

I hear that the Q300 is just a bit louder if not the same as the stock exhaust. Never owned or head one so cant say for sure.

Its a bit louder than the stock, but when you step on it, it will make itself KNOWN to others. Like my wife says, it purrs like a kitten, screams like a bitch .. depending on the driver. I have q300 and i love it.

Q300 ... FTW

Mate a hks dual to that test pipe of yours and Youll never look back! But I'd go q300 over n1 for sure

Q300 will rasp with a HFC or TP. The rasp is worse on an AP1. I hate it.

On the other hand, Q300 with OEM cat on an AP2 is not only one of the most classy sounding setups in terms of volume, but the tone consistency is just beautiful. The rumble at idle is mature and while others may argue this, I have NO DRONE with my setup. Q300 at WOT is anything but quiet. You won't be sneaking away quickly anywhere. I love mine.

yea, i have the Q300 and cruising and idle are fine, but i was told at my last autocross event that i had the loudest car on the course...its very loud when its in VTEC..but driving normally, i think it sounds great...unfortunantly im not going to be able to run it next year because the group that puts on the autocross events are going to start enforcing the decibel rules for SCCA

^^^running a test pipe. (hint: put the cat back on)

i have no desire to put the cat back on...kinda defeats the purpose of having a header back system if im just going to bottle neck it right after the header...im probably going to be getting a different exhaust anyway...probably switch to a 3 inch single for next season

Ah, sounded like you were complaining about your car being so loud that you couldn't run autocross events.

no not at all...i actually love the way it sounds and my dad, whos been around racecars his whole life says it sounded bad ass so its old school racer approved lol...i just found it funny that i was pulled to the side at the last even and the event sponsors told me i wouldnt be able to run it, espescially since one of them runs an open header mini cooper that i know for a fact was much louder than me...oh well, it seems like they dont care for hondas, but ill just run a different exhaust for next season to shut them up
