Default Switch to PRM from K&N FIPK

Here is the deal...I've had my K&N FIPK on my '05 AP2 for three and a half years now...I love the sound and the hp/tq/throttle response is def there (no complaints) but I want a different look...I've been doing some serious searching and haven't found exactly what I want to know:

-- is the horsepower gain w/the PRM comparable to that of the K&N FIPK (K&N advertises it as 8-9 hp)??

-- how will the throttle response compare to the K&N??

--is it just as good??

thanks in advance for the help and insight

im pretty sure by switching you will lose hp but the sound will be better... PRM from what i understand makes no power increase from stock .. but sounds better.. I have the FIPK and love it.. if you got the fipk already i say leave it alone

The Prm doesn't have any heat shielding does it? That'd be my only concern. Heat soak in the summer sucks

Doesnt seem worth it too switch over for just looks alone. If anything i would switch to an Apexi Dry filter.

I think the difference would be minute. What you will feel is the sound increase from using an aluminum tubing.
