TEIN VS. BC Racing
Ok, I'm trying to see what other people are happiest with. On one hand I can spend $17-1800 and get the Tein Mono Flex setup and on the other hand i can get the BC racing Type BR setup for $900-1000. Big difference in price but am i comparing apples to oranges here? I will be using the car for a weekend toy which means in time it will see the quarter mile as money grows. I had the BR suspension on my K20 crx and it worked really well but there is a big difference between the crx and the s2000. Any comments are welcome!!! I'm leaning towards the tein but the price is killin me!
might want to check out the competition coilovers that just came out, i dont have them but there price is right in the middle and there design looks very promising, but if ur going to go to the drag strip and not a track then i would go with the bc's, they should allow more than enough adjustment for drag racing
not really sure if any of the two is a real drag coilover.
to be very honest with you, for something as important as suspension i would get something from a reputation suspension company, at least i know i can get part/rebuild for it when it needs to be freshen up couple years later.
the other guy might not even be around any more

The Teins are much better. If you don't want to spend that much go with apex or pss9's. Don't waste your money on the cheap ones because 1. Your car won't handle as well as stock and 2. You'll end up replacing parts when they break. I would also suggest getting a set of rear axle spacers.
I am in the same situation. In my case the Teins aren't worth twice the cost, maybe they are to you. I helped a friend install a set of BC Racing coilovers on his 370Z and he likes them better than the Tein Flex he had on his STi. It's kind of an apples to oranges comparison, but I believe it's a quality product. The replacement damper program is also very good, around $100 if I remember correctly.
Bor-Chuann makes coilovers for a lot of brands, including Apex'i. These are built to their own specs with a larger shock body and piston compared to the ones they make for Megan. I don't think the company will be going away anytime soon. I placed an order for the BC last week and will put a review when I get them installed and corner balanced.

Our Comp spec dampers are comparable to the tein mono flex in features with a $1450 MSRP. we use Japanese coponents in all our coilovers. click the link for some background and details.
