Default Test Pipe

hello guys

So i installed my headers(dont know the brand ) in completly stock s2k and to me it feels like i lost some power ! and my guess is that its due to the fact that my cats are still installed .So iam planning on bying a test pipe and iam hoping that would do the trick ! But now one of my questions is that what brand of test pipe should i use ? what size(many have told me 70mm) ? and if i stay w.the stock exaust will i make some power w.The test pipe ?

Thanks and if anyone has any test pipes available pm me please , or if you know of a good website to get one at

from what ive read on here; any test pipe brand will work the same, the size you should get is the size of your header, and you will still have restrictions from your cat-back, unless you match your cat-back to the size of your test pipe which is matched to the size of your header

Good chance you installed a crap header if you don't know the brand. Put the stock one back on and then get a test pipe.

Yeah man I would honestly put the OEM header back on. There is no reason you should just loose power with an aftermarket one, especially if the collector is 63mm. Then again your bottlenecking the system with the OEM cat/exhaust but you shouldnt "lose" power over stock.

Since you feel like you lost some power over stock, just put the stock one back on. A test pipe might help some and you might gain a little with it, but it still probably won't benifit your header much. I agree with Moddiction and I would just put the OEM header on and get a test pipe. I had one with my OEM header and exhaust a while back and it sounded great, and it might have free'd up a few hp so thats not bad.

Idk man the best thing to do would be to take some measurements of it, but you would have to take it back off to do this.

I would measure the primaries, secondaries, and the collector.
