Test Pipe on AP2 question

anyone experience high level of soot staining your bumper on an AP2? Considering buying some of the carbon outlet covers to prevent this.

I have a TP with stock exhaust. No soot whatsoever. I also have the car tuned so that might aide in it.

Covers or not, you will still get soot on the bumper and rear quarters (depending how often you wash the car).

I got it on my Si when I ran a TP. Part of not having a cat, no real way to avoid it in my experience.

I've never noticed it on mine before? But I wash my car pretty regularly.

I have CAI, TP, and HKS duals. No soot whatsoever, only some smell. No tune.

As somone else said I too get oil/soot all over the back of my car and 1/4 panels. It was alot worse when I had the ap1 engine due to its extra oil burn..
