test pipe (brand matters)?

purchased a ebay tp here, had it on for a couple thousand miles, and i love it, it is stainless and i paid 65 shipped for it. A pipe is a Pipe to me. No for other parts like exhaust or turbo or what have i would defiently go with a known quality product.

TP is a TP..
exhaust.. probably a bit different.
I'll be fabbing my own exhaust though..

I can't speak for the T1R, but the Berk is a very nice quality piece. Cheap pipes snap at the welds all the time.

Forgive the dumb Q, but what exactly is a test pipe? I've seen a lot of users on here that have them/talk about them. What do they do? Advantages/disadvantages?

I have the Berk right now and it is definitely a quality piece. I also have the 70 mm T1R, and it also looks like a quality piece with good welds and piping

It eliminates the catalytic converter. It makes hp, but at the sacrafice of more air pollution.
