Default Test Pipe Question

im planning on getting a spoon header which is a 2.5 (65mm) now ive done a lil bit of research, maybe not enough but i had a hard time finding a 65mm Test Pipe. So my question is if i get a 70mm Test Pipe like Invidia, skunk2 etc will that affect the performance? and i will be putting a HKS Cat back exhaust on the dual one. Or should i just match 65mm all the way through????

You should try for 65mm(or bigger) all the way through. The HKS is only 60mm and I believe Berk makes a 63mm test-pipe though.

Fabricate your own test pipe. All you're buying is the brand name. You can't really mess up with making a straight pipe lol

I've never heard of a 65mm pipe, so I'm curious where you are getting that number. A true 2.5" pipe is 63mm (outer diameter).

Head over to Harbor Freight and pick up a set of calipers. They have some cheap plastic ones for like $5. Measure the inner diameter (ID) of the exhaust. If it's 65mm then the 63mm Berk HFC will be fine. 2mm isn't going to make enough of a difference for you to really notice. If you know someone that can fab the TP up for you, you could save some cash. If you're paying a shop to do it, you're probably better off just buying one. I've got them as cheap as like $65 on the website.

Let me know if I can help any more.

70mm isn't 3", 76.2mm is 3". One inch is 25.4mm.
