Test Pipe or Resonator removal?
i found the other thread on s2k talk... the one thats talking about test pipes and its effect on the environment... i think the guy selling his tp for 65$ is joeyballs go for that rather than removing the resonator. i heard the clips from one with a removed resonator it didnt sound too good
How about changing to a test pipe or high flow cat. Then Remove the factory resonator and install a shorter aftermarket (Magnaflow) resonator to give the exhaust a deeper note? I used to have a 06 TL and on there forums that was a very popular mod to keep the factory piping but get some grunt out of the factory exhaust
tp isn't recommended for street use. Also I wouldn't recommend if you don't like the smell. Removing resonator will change the sound and offer no gain but the sound is noticeable and I like it very much. It won't get dirty at all....just don't do both together as it will sound nasty.
I had a TP before on my black car and loved the lil grumble it gave but hated cleaning the tips. I can just imagine how'd it dirty up my WHITE rear bumper
Have any of u guys heard both of em?
TP on stock exhaust?
Resonator removal on exhaust?
Do they sound the same?
