Default Think I broke the steering clock spring...

It's all unraveled and I'm having a hard time getting it all the ribbons lined up.

Any tips on how to get this fixed or do I need a brand new clock spring?

Ok I was able to realign the clock spring and got the entire steering wheel and column reassembled!

Wanted to realign the steering wheel because it was about 10 degrees CW off. Things I learned today:

1) The two T30 Torx bolts on the sides that attach to the SRS airbag can EASILY be dropped into the steering wheel. Do the Passenger side T30 while sitting in the passenger seat.
2) Once you remove the 14 mm bolt (torqued down to 29 ft lbs per factory spec) on the steering wheel, give the wheel a hard slap at 12, 9, 3, and 6 o'clock. This will help loosen up the wheel and keep it from pulling on the Cable Reel cover (which houses the damn ribbons) when you pull it off.
3) Make sure the 3 cables coming out of the steering wheel are loosened and unplugged!! If there's any resistance this will cause the Cable Reel cover to pull out and then you're screwed with the ribbons.
4) If you do manage to mess up and unravel the ribbons, relax. Breathe. Then remove the lower bottom panel (attached by 3 Phillips screws), and pop out the Cable Reel back cover entirely.
5) This will free up the back cover and allow you to take your time and wrap the ribbon in proper fashion again.
6) Finally, in case if you were unable to reel the ribbon back together, it's only going to cost you ~$215 from www.hondaautomotiveparts.com for a new one!

You can re-clock the steering wheel using the coupler in the engine bay, bruv.

Its 2 bolts to do this

That way, you're not having to remove the airbag and steering wheel.

Make sure the rack is centered. And u may need a torque sensor position reset.

Also, dont completely remove the bolt before the steering wheel is lose. This way when it pops off you dont hit yourself in the face.

Can you tell me exactly how you fixed the ribbon 4 cables. 2 seems longer, 1 the same as the one with wiring in it. Now still the clock spring is in the middle....
