Default those with Voodoo shift knobs, how do you grip it?

I just installed my voodoo shift knob, and find that it is so low (flush with the shift boot) that I can't comfortably hold it from the side (I get a bunch of boot in my grip). Do you grip it mostly palm down?

Plam down is the most common.

Thumb up/palm on right side for the 1-2 shift, thumb pointing left/palm down on 2-3, 3-4 shift, thumb pointing down/backhand on 4-5, 5-6 shift.

Love the knob. Just picked mine up in October. Great deal. Weird, but I sometimes find myself holding the knob in between my middle and middle finger with my thumb resting on top with my palm facing up. Kinda like a wine glass. Idk. I find it comfortable.

p.s. no h-mo

And a short-shifter, and then you can call it "low."

Palm down is the best and safest.

Palm to the side will lead to more $$ shifts.

I'm palm down when upshifting from 1-5 and to the side to 6th. That's pretty much the only time I'm to the side.

^ I have no proof, but I agree with this.
