i had both hks 75mm and greddy tic 70mm. both with a matching TP. Sound wise i liked the greddy, but has drone after 3500 rpm, worst if you have a ht/soft top up. HKS also has a great sound and no drone and quiet. conversations could not happen with the Greddy. HKS i can talk all day to the passenger. If i had to do it again... i'd go with hks.

Appreciate the feed back. More than likely buying HKS in the next week

I had skunk2 for a long time and my girl friend and i fought all the time because she has to talk nonstop the entire time i drive and i couldn't hear her. Oh darn. Well she actually bought the HKS single for me since i told her id use it if she bought it. Its great, still not a silent exhaust by any means. But its quiet enough to talk at any time... that could be good or bad. Lol. Also no drone with a test pipe unless you drive around chugging in 5th at 35 mph.

TIC SINGLE FTW
why so?
the sound of both is good, but TIC is AMAZINGG. the burnt tip looks flawless also.

i also have a 70mm TP but drone was never that bad, especially being single.

I had the HKS 75mm Single and as far as gains go, its one of the best you can buy. I really felt a better pull with that exhaust than my T1R 70Em Single, though I like the T1R a little better due to no drone and its a little more quite than the HKS, however the HKS is not really considered a laud exhaust. I felt a torque loss when I had the invidia test pipe with the hks, so I went with an oem cat, than got the 3" Asura high flow cat, which I am currently selling due to switching over to the T1R. If your interested in the Asura 3" highflow cat, heres the link to my for sale thread:

I've had, in this order, a Greddy TiC Single, Berk 3 in, catless single, HKS single w/ a test pipe. The HKS is my favorite, but the TiC is a close second. I'm gonna get a Helmholtz resonator welded onto the mid pipe of my HKS and that should make the volume perfect as I'm looking for a little less drone in the 2-4k range. I'll have to make a video inside and outside of the car, but there's a fair amount of drone in the cabin but I think the exhaust is pretty quiet on the outside, unlike the Berk which is just loud as f@#k all the time.

I just installed the HKS single with a test pipe and I love it. Like others have said, with a test pipe there really isn't any drone and is surprisingly tame when you're driving around part throttle. Still sounds great when you open it up too.

I haven't liked mine. Eventually the fart can on the back is going to get cut off and an oval muffler will be welded on.

Have had mine since they came out. Love it. Ive had it with stock cat, TP, and HFC. Stock cat sucks drone wise, TP was nice but a little too street racer for me, HFC is very nice balance. Also, I highly recommend a silencer. I have a 96mm (if my mind serves me right) silencer in mine that fit right in and made the exhaust perfect in my opinion. Keeps is relatively quiet until you get on it. Remove it for fun drives on the weekend.

only complaint is as stated above, im not too keen on the look of the muffler but im willing to put up with it because you dont really notice it.

I had one with a 70mm Invidia test pipe and it sounded great. Build quality and fitment is top notch. I thought it droned pretty bad though. Would definitely recommend it.
