3 inch intake, 70mm throttle body and port matched intake manifold is what u should muster up. I'd say science of speed throttle body over shit2 throttle body.

The word from my very experienced tuner was that the throttle body and intake manifold are one the last things that will show any gains, after you've done everything else possible. What most people report as an "improvement" is throttle "response," which is simply that the larger throttle opens to a given air-flow rate at lower throttle pedal position. Essentially, you hit "full" throttle at less than full pedal travel, and beyond that the engine is already breathing at max capacity so opening wider doesn't make any difference. So all you are doing is reducing useful throttle pedal range. He said with boring, port-matching, machining the manifold, installation and tuning you'd be looking at $1000 for 2 HP peak if you're lucky. There are far cheaper ways to add power.

i tried the skunk2 and it messed up my idle. on a cold start it would idle at 3k and warm up idle at 2.5k. posted my problem on here and apparently it was a common problem. I went back to stock and it was perfect, then went to sos and 70mm ported intake manifold and it was fine. car made 238 whp on evans dyno and he said every other ap2 on his dyno makes 225 whp. hope that helps. i also have k&n fipk plm header 70mm resonated tp 70mm single exhaust.

When I was NA I added a 70mm TB and DIY port match on my05 ap2. It felt more responsive. Now that I'm boosted it was one less mod to do. I recommend saving for a supercharger or turbo kit new/used.

I added SOS throttle body on my supercharged AP1. I got it only for the pressure seals for meth injection but did back to back dyno's and showed 2 hp gains. I'm making just over 420whp. I thought I'd get a few more than that but luckily I only bought it for the upgraded seals in it.
