what did you use to tint the tails? I tried Lamin X on the entire tailight, and it would not conform to the whole thing right given the angles

Tinted headlights? Makes a lot of sense if you hope to be as cool as Corey Hart:

I think Im going to do it, not just because I like it, but just to piss off a few people here.

Im using a transparent film made by Oracal. Its made for lighted signs and has a 14yr life.

I oly did the sides of my tails(for now) However it would be best just to Seam it at the angle in the lens.

I did it to protect my lights at a track event once. I didn't want to throw away some scrap static cling tint I had for my plastic rear window, so I did it for fun.

Woo. That looks hot. Especially since it's static cling tint.

I might do something like that for a track day or for running around in the daytime, then just pull it off at night or when "asked" by law enforcement.

Not the sort of thing I'd want to leave on at night, personally.

Mine were tinted.. I didn't notice any significant difference with night time.. i did notice that it helped keep my headlights from being littered with rocks (unfortunately my bumper did take a beating though from trips to the dragon, track, drives, etc....)

It was different, I liked it, but... having said that, I will never do that again... Taking them off was absolutely ridiculous and given the amount of time it took for me to get the film off, I would have rather just bought new headlights

My new S2k will NOT have blue film on the headlights (also because I think blue film on apex blue is a bit much).

Hmm, That may be a trick. Ill see if I can find some Static Cling first and give it a test run before I use Laminate.

btw there was a thread recently about people who used the lamin-x type stuff on their headlights and after removal had spider web cracking on the headlights, presumably from the heat building up behind the sheet.

I know a few people that have used VHT on their tail lights.
