Default tinted tail lights

ok I've seen and heard people tinting and painting their taillights black.
But is is possible to paint it a different color?
say color match it to Silverstone? or another color.
I know you use paint with TONS of reducer to get the desired effect. but with black its easier. Would it look ghetto with a different color?
opinions pl0x ;-)

i wouldn't bother splitting the housing to color match 'em. black is fine. at the most i'd just add a light tint on the exterior like joeys2k suggested. if you do anything, post the pics...

paint matching = bad......... yellow C6 is all I have to say..... secondly... don't take this the wrong way.... but uhhh... almost NOBODY can work wonders on plastic and auto paint... unless it was designed to be painted.. and was prepped as so.. More than likely it's going to start chipping..

I think I light tint looks good. I'm going to eventually tint the red itself to keep it suttle.
