Thumbs up Too Lean?

I don't know about A/F ratios but from what I have heard being lean is worse than being rich (forgot why.)

I have also heard testpipe-catback combo makes the ap2 run lean.

So would a testpipe and megans single (2.5") make my car run to lean for it to run properly without some type of engine management?

I have a bone stock 07

Just a testpipe and catback shouldn't increase flow enough to put you in dangerous territory.

2007 + test pipe + single exhaust?

I wouldn't bet on it, take it to get your A/F checked and report back.

70 dollars more to check A/F is far better then detonation and reduced engine life.

My guess would be in the high 14's @ 6-7K

bad guess actually. i wouldn't risk it if you're going to a single exhaust and test pipe.

you'll be "ok", meaning there will not be any short term damage to the engine, but you are adding pre-mature wear to the car though.

this combo will definetly be leaner than stock. lean enough to blow up the engine? no. but lean enough that you are consciously contributing to a problem down the line.

that sounds about right....meaning, if you're going to just cruise around town you're not doing much harm.

but if you like to get on it and take some spirited runs in vtec regularly you might want to consider tuning.

does a dual and berk cat really put you out of range of what the stock ECU can correct for?
