This intake?

I would assume that it would draw alot of hot air in without any type of shield,

Your probaly better sticking with what you have and putting the money you would spend on this intake into a snorkel.

All of the intakes free up very little power. Most of them sound great, some of them help with heatsoak in the summer.

JDM = Just Dump Money

Sticky is right. It will suck in hot air under the hood.

I don't even think Top Fuel makes an intake specific for the S2K

Topfuel use to make intakes for our cars, just like the one on ebay that was posted. There was another version that was all carbon, but they have all been discontinued. The carbon area is suppost to be a chamber for better throttle response. If your getting something like that, just get the ebay one for like $35. It will suck in all the hot air coming off the header, and get bad heatsoak. Keep the stock airbox and get a snorkel, or AUT cooling plate. The OEM airbox performs pretty well for what it is.

Do some spirited driving with a FIPK and you won't say that. After about 30 seconds of WOT, the FIPK is deffinently better than the restrictive OEM box. It also sounds so sexy.

Yes it is more restrictive than a K&N FIPK, but go look that intake thread where Gernby compared the OEM airbox with stock filter, and no snorkel with the PWJDM Intake. Of course the PWJDM made better power, but only really at the top end. If the OEM box can compare in low to mid range with a $1000+ intake, im not arguing.
