there is a guy on craigslist who is trading his megan test pipe and single exhaust for an AP1 OEM cat and exhaust. 1stly is this fair, and secondly does anyone know how much sound that puts out and how loud it is?

 

If your looking to upgrade, thats a good deal.

Just to warn you though, the Megan is a very loud exhaust, and will drone.

Yeah if your looking for something that isn't to loud, don't do it man. You will take it off soon after you get it. I'm pretty sure its louder than the Greddy tic, some people say the drone isnt that bad with those. I havent personally had either, but after being on the forum for a while and reading several reviews, the megan is a very loud exhaust.

 

I personally dont mind it being too loud, but my previous car (prelude with no cats and ebay exhaust) was too loud and made me look like a ricer, i wouldnt want that again, i understand the s2000 is a much different car though

 

I understand man. This will be at least as loud as an ebay one. I had an ebay dual on my s2k a while back, and I had to take it off because I would get a headache within 30 miles of highway driving. If you even think you might not like it, I wouldnt do it then. Just save for an exhaust that you know you will like, and keep.

fair in a sense that your stock exhaust is worth almost nothing, while you can at least sell those megan exhaust PLUS test pipe for $250.

 

yeah i really don't get what hes trying to get at... you mean fair as in money wise? or what? well for an exhaust system for basically 250 bucks is nothing...
