tune question....
Aem is a waste of money if you don't plan on going find or itbs.
Ive had a vafc for 18 months or so now. No issues at all. The ecu does NOT relearn the WOT tuning. That is all that matters.
Get a vafc2 and call it a day. Will get some nice gains and can lower vtec a little to smooth things out. Will save like 800 of more by going that route over stand alone.

doesn't the emanage tune at partial and wot, which is it is used for FI vehicles??? for this application the AEM unit would cost $100 per each hp gained, which is probably a little bit of overkill for your typical i/h/e setup (unless you're filthy rich.) if so, quit dicking around and buy a GTR.
search for pre-tuned EMU for the AP1. there is supposed to be a unit that has proven 10-15 hp gains without the need of a tuning session.
that being said, i'm a noob and will admit that i only know what i've studied about this topic over the last 2 weeks. show me i'm wrong.
whatever the answer is, i wouldn't be interested in tuning only for wot. i think the majority of us don't floor it on a daily (or weekly) basis and would find minimal benefit on a track day.
all bs aside, find the tuner you want to use THEN decide what tuning solution to use. take careful consideration of realistic future upgrades to your car so you don't go with a system that is either too strong or weak.
Good luck.
