I have a 00 and it works just fine. In the newer cars it seems to refresh quicker. Still best $80 I've spent.

i sold my Scangauge2 in favour of smartphone - but i miss the convinience of the dedicated always ON device.

Would it show intake temp for a 2002? Im going to get a aftermarket intake soon and it would be cool seeing how it changes. Also do you just plug it into the port and thats it, nothing else to install?

I wanted a temp gauge and this was the cheapest solution. Plus I keep intake temp and a bunch of others on different screens like ave MGP or fuel left in tank. You get them from ultragague.com.

 

Looks like an awesome product, especially for the price. Now we need some pictures so we can get some more ideas of where to mount this thing

 

I bought one of these for my Prelude the same day I saw this thread. It is pretty damn small and does lots of stuff. It just plugs into the OBD2 connector. When you first start the car, it does a scan to see what your car has for it to display and then you pick what you want to see. It turns itself on whenever the car is on and auto dims at night. You can set audible alarms for things such as CELs or water temp high and/or low (you pick the temps). It will read and clear trouble codes. You can set mileage for oil changes or other service. Its a cool little gadget for the money.

My only complaints are:

1 - You have to be able to get to the buttons on the back so if you want to do a custom flushmount its alot more difficult.

2 - It refreshes relatively slowly so if you are displaying stuff like the speedo or tach, it doesn't climb smoothly like the cluster.

 

Here is a pic of how I mounted mine I made a simple bracket and its pretty solid, keep in mind that I have aftermarket hardtop locks

here is a pic of the bracket that comes with the gauge. You can get the gauge with a window mount too
but I don't think you need it considering how small and easy to mount the Ultra-gauge is and I didn't wanna pay $10 more bucks. Just be creative

I have a CAN29 on my '08 and was able to set the refresh rate to every 0.3 of a second
